INTRODUCTION TO THE WORLD OF ICE

It is a land where civilization is merely a fragile footnote to the overwhelming power of nature. You land in Longyearbyen—at the very edge of the inhabited world—and from the first moment, you are absorbed by the polar reality. Here, rugged mountains, endless glaciers, and a silence that rings in your ears reign supreme. You are entering the home of polar bears, reindeer, and arctic foxes. This is a place for those who want to leave everyday life far beyond the horizon and experience the true, wild North.

New Format: An Expedition, Not a Tour.

Introducing a new category of travel at MyArctic. We’ve stripped away the non-essentials to give you the maximum of what matters most— terrain and emotion.

This is our most "expedition-style," rugged formula, available at the lowest price point in the history of our winter editions. You aren't coming here to sit in a hotel. You are here to experience the Arctic with all your senses, face the changing weather, and feel the deep satisfaction that comes from active exploration.

General idea is: we deliver the MUST be - if you want more - you can build your own - additional agenda.

THE MAIN ATTRACTION: SNOWMOBILES

Endless White: Two Days on Snowmobiles Prepare yourself for hundreds of kilometers of pure adrenaline. For two full days, snowmobiles will be our primary mode of transport. Forget well-trodden paths—we will push through frozen fjords, wide valleys, and mountain passes. It is from the seat of a snowmobile that the Arctic makes its greatest impression, revealing spaces inaccessible to ordinary tourists. This is riding in open space, a battle against the wind, and a feeling of absolute freedom.

THE PLAN

This is Arctic minimalist dream of a trip - no nonsense.

Experience six unforgettable days above the Arctic Circle on a small‑group snowmobile and trekking adventure between Longyearbyen and the legendary mining town of Barentsburg. This itinerary is perfect for solo travellers, couples, and small groups of friends who want a personal, once‑in‑a‑lifetime Svalbard experience without having to organise anything themselves.

Your Arctic adventure in short

  • Fly Longyearbyen, with an easy transfer to your hotel and time to settle in on arrival.

  • Join an introductory walk around Longyearbyen and discover what everyday life looks like in the world’s northernmost town.

  • Enjoy two full days on snowmobiles in a small group, with plenty of photo stops and time to simply take in the silence and the views.

Snowmobiles, Barentsburg and the ice cave

  • Morning pick‑up of your snowmobile and full Arctic clothing, then a scenic ride via historic Colesbukta to Barentsburg.

  • Travel with experienced guides equipped with full safety gear, stay overnight in a comfortable hotel with private bathrooms, and feel the unique Russian‑Norwegian atmosphere of Barentsburg.

SNOWMOBILES TO BARENTSBURG

In the morning, we pick up the snowmobiles and equipment, which we will have for the next 2 days. This will give us significant autonomy and won`t limit us time-wise. On the first day, we will head to Barentsburg via the glacier. The road is long and after the first "highway" part, we will cross less touristic paths. Beautiful landscapes and quality time. We will stay 1 night in a Barentsburg hotel in twin rooms with bathroom.

BARENTSBURG AND SURROUNDINGS

Unlike Pyramiden, this is a functioning town that preserves a strong Soviet atmosphere. Nowadays it is possible to visit sites such as the Lenin statue, the wooden Orthodox chapel, and the famous Red Bear brewery. In the winter, the route is a scenic adventure across snowy valleys as the only way to reach Barentsburg is by snowmobile. You will feel like you have stepped into a completely different culture.

SNOWMOBILES, RETURN TO LONGYEARBYEN

Morning walk around the town, preparation of the snowmobiles, and off we go. We will most likely return via a different route than we came, but as always, this depends on weather and ice conditions and avalanche risks. Evening walk around Longyearbyen.

Excursions to be chosen

On Spitsbergen, there are countless attractions, and it`s hard to choose the best ones. Either a trek to the ice cave. During the 5-hour trip, we will enter the glacier and the ice cave to admire this unique place. Optionally, you can participate in a cruise to the frozen Billefjord, where, if conditions permit, we will step onto the ice to get even closer to nature. There is a chance to spot walruses, seals, and perhaps a polar bear. If the group prefers this trip, we will visit the ice cave by snowmobiles.
