Who am I?
KATE DEREN
Kate is the founder and CEO of MyArctic. An adventurous traveler who first sailed to Svalbard in 2014 and has since developed a deep love for the Arctic. She is an experienced sailor and hiker, with expertise in navigating the harsh and beautiful Arctic landscapes. Additionally, she has completed 3 modules of SGO training course, which highlights her dedication to exploring and preserving the region's natural wonders.
Kate is a multilingual traveller and sailor who speaks English, German, Spanish, and Polish.
Her linguistic skills, combined with her passion for the Arctic and expertise in hiking, make her a versatile guide and adventurer.
Who am I?
PAWEL MAZUREK
Pawel is the co-founder of MyArctic and a certified SGO guide, licensed to carry a rifle for polar bear protection. He spent two decades in digital marketing and adtech, most recently as CEO of Takeads, still lectures at Lazarski University in Warsaw and is a Gold winner of the European Affiliate Awards. He brings the same mindset to the Arctic: gather the data, respect what you cannot control, and be ready to turn back.
Pawel is a motorcyclist, snowboarder and traveller who speaks English, German, Russian and Polish. He has explored dozens of countries and even lived for a few months in Sana'a, Yemen.
His guiding experience, calm judgement and love for adventure make him a trusted leader for anyone who wants to see Svalbard safely and authentically.
